What to expect from a behavior consultation?Filling out this questionnaire will initiate Vera's information gathering process. During the one and a half hour in home session, Vera will assess your dog's behavior and lay out a behavior modification plan. We will work with your dog during this first session so that you will know how to handle the situations that arise daily.
While some dog behavior problems can be resolved in one or two sessions, most require more time. We will likely work together for several sessions. In order to effect lasting change in your dog's behavior, you must be willing to change how you interact with and care for your dog.
Whatever the behavioral issue, Vera will work the entire process to completion. If it is a dog training issue rather than a behavior problem, Vera has several group dog training classes available. Outdoor classes are available to help you and your dog to better handle the challenges encountered on daily walks. Rowdy Rovers is specifically for reactive and aggressive dogs. Agility and nosework offers a chance to work as a team in the presence of other dogs and people.
It may be necessary to see your veterinarian to rule out a medical cause for your dog's behavioral problem(s). Vera also works with and refers to veterinary behaviorists in boston, Greater Boston and the Metro West Area.Fees, Packages, and Payment Plans
